Changes...

Last week I found out that I would not have to move!  Yeah!  This is my 9th year of teaching and I have been in 3 different grade levels.  Change is my middle name.  The other day came a little surprise.  We are going to a STEM focus.  I am going to be teaching math and science to my 1st graders!  All in 90 minutes!  With two different programs!  This year math took all 90 minutes and some days I still did not finish!

I had planned to really delve into my math program this summer.  I feel like I have been treading water this year, just keeping my head up.  I had also planned on doing some integration, but I do not want to neglect the science.  However there is only so much science that can really fit in with 1st grade math.  We are playing around with timing.  I have a few ideas of how to fit in science time.  I going to plan then just experiment this year!
